Launching August 2026

Rent-day reminder texts your tenants actually opt into.

Chasing rent is the worst part of being a landlord — not the money, the asking. RentChime does the asking for you: a friendly text before rent day, a receipt after, and a paper trail the whole way. You stay the reasonable one.

Tenants opt in by texting YESSTOP ends everything, instantlyWe never touch the money

How it works

  1. You add a tenant. Name, phone number, rent amount, due day. That's the whole setup.
  2. Your tenant gets one invitation. One text, asking permission. If they don't reply YES, nothing is ever sent — no nagging, no second invitation blast.
  3. Rent day runs itself. A reminder before the due date, a late notice only if you've set one, and a receipt when you log the payment. Every message supports STOP and HELP.

What the texts look like

Hi Maria, your landlord Jon uses RentChime to send rent reminders and receipts by text. Reply YES to receive them, or ignore this message and nothing will be sent. Reply STOP anytime. Reply HELP for help.

Planned launch pricing

Simple and unit-based. Tenants never pay anything, and the free tools on this site stay free either way.

Pre-launch pricing — final at launch.

Not legal advice. RentChime sends reminders, notices, and receipts. It does not process, hold, or transfer rent money — you keep collecting rent exactly how you do today. It is not a collections service, it is not a substitute for the formal notices some states require before an eviction, and it is not legal advice.

Common questions

What if my tenant never replies YES?

Then RentChime never texts them — that's the whole design. The invitation is sent once, and silence means no. You'll see the pending status and can keep handling that tenant however you do now.

Do my tenants pay for this?

No. Tenants never pay RentChime anything. Standard message and data rates from their own carrier may apply, like any text.

What happens when a tenant texts STOP?

All messages to that tenant end immediately, and you're notified so you know reminders are no longer going out. They can rejoin anytime by texting START.

Does the PAID reply mean the rent is actually paid?

No — it's a tenant's flag, not a bank confirmation. You confirm the money arrived the way you always do, then log it, which sends the receipt. RentChime records who said what and when; the paper trail is the point.

When does this launch, and how do I get in?

August 2026, US phone numbers first. Email growth@rentchime.com with how many units you manage and we'll reach out at launch.
